Elche agree deal for RB Leipzig star | OneFootball

La Liga newcomers Elche have this weekend struck an agreement for an altogether high-profile addition to the club’s attacking ranks.

The player on his way in at the Estadio Manuel Martínez Valero? André Silva.

Frontman Silva is for his part fresh off an underwhelming campaign in 2024/25, which saw the experienced Portuguese international struggle across stints with German sides RB Leipzig and Werder Bremen.

The 29-year-old has since returned to base with the former, albeit with the expectation having long been that he would soon be on the move once more.

And as alluded to above, this weekend, Silva’s next landing spot has been revealed.

As per a report from transfer market insider Fabrizio Romano, the ex-Porto and AC Milan man is all set to link up with promoted La Liga outfit Elche:

‘Elche reach agreement in principle to sign André Silva as new striker. Deal in place with RB Leipzig for Portuguese striker to join Elche project.’
