Eddie’s Hotrods are sparking once again

I watched Newcastle 3 Aston Villa 0 at my mate JP’s house.

JP has been a successful gentleman and it’s always nice to see what goodies he treats himself to during the festive period.

This year it was a £68K diamond encrusted watch. I’m telling you now, Elvis would have been envious of it.

Blyth Spartans FA Cup hero Keith Houghton was also in attendance and his football knowledge is substantial.

Keith’s also an ex copper, so me and JP have always got to be on the cautious side, if you know what I mean.

Obviously, when you go to JP’s there are always good looking ladies around.

Not that they interested me, as I sat down to watch the Toon v Villa on his cinematographic TV screen.

What a bloody start that was with a screamer by Anthony ‘Flash’ Gordon.

The Villans were well and truly rocked but rallied until Duran’s stupidity.

What can you say about our very own Rolls Royce Alexander Isak?

Well one thing is, he won’t be belittling himself by joining soon to be sacked Arteta’s Arsenal.

Isak is on fire and on a perfect wavelength with his teammates. Jacob, Flash, Bruno and Sandro can all take a bow.

Eddie’s Hotrods are sparking once again and crafty old Joelinton came up with a peach to steal all the spoils.

It’s the Salfords up next at Mould Trafford. Amorim’s doing a great job so far and some are already questioning his appointment.

They aren’t very good and in reality we should be beating them. I’ll be disappointed if we don’t.

One of my favourite footballing memories was watching Denis Law literally backheel Man Utd into the Second Division. I watched it on Match of the Day with my Dad in 1974.

Newcastle then went and spoiled it by fluffing their lines at Wembley against Liverpool in the Cup Final.

Until that point, Newcastle United and Aston Villa were the two most successful teams in England.

How many of you knew that?

Times have certainly changed but our team are rising from the ashes and the utter calamity of our previous owner.
