Borussia Dortmund are at sixes and sevens as they find themselves two goals behind at home in the opening interval against winless VfL Bochum.
Fresh off the back of an embarrassing 5-1 defeat to Stuttgart last time out, BVB were in desperate need of a result at home to stem the tide of negative feelings among their fans.
But it was the worst possible start against a winless Bochum on Friday at Signal Iduna park, giving up two goals in the first 21 minutes, including a disastrous giveaway by keeper Gregor Kobel.
Dortmund currently sit in eighth in the Bundesliga table, and that could get far worse by the end of the weekend if they can’t turn things around this evening.
The hosts have pulled one back in the dying minutes of the first-half thanks to Serhou Guirassy — could that be the platform needed to launch a turnaround?
