According to UOL, Corinthians continued their mid-season preparations on Tuesday afternoon at CT Dr. Joaquim Grava, with manager Dorival Júnior focusing not just on tactical drills but also on the team’s in-game discipline and behavioral patterns.

The squad started with strength exercises in the gym, before moving outside for positional instructions delivered by Dorival’s coaching staff. The session featured a high-intensity, small-sided game designed to replicate match scenarios, offering players a condensed environment to work on pressing, ball movement, and decision-making under pressure.

Dorival placed particular emphasis on refining the defensive line’s behavior, ensuring collective movement and responses to game situations mirrored what he expects in competitive fixtures. This focus on behavioral adjustments is part of an ongoing effort to sharpen the side’s organizational habits as Corinthians look to reset following the international break.

There is still uncertainty regarding Yuri Alberto’s return. The striker remains in the final stages of recovery following a lumbar vertebra fracture (L1) and is currently undergoing transitional work. His status for Corinthians’ upcoming matches remains in doubt, and he is yet to rejoin full team training.

With less than two weeks to prepare before their next fixture, Dorival will use this period to fine-tune the squad ahead of the Campeonato Brasileiro’s 13th round, when Corinthians host Red Bull Bragantino on July 13th at Neo Química Arena.

Players are set to train twice on Wednesday as the coaching staff aim to maximize intensity and tactical understanding. The focus remains not only on technical execution but also on the collective mindset and behaviors that can determine outcomes in a tightly contested Brasileirão season.
