Done Deal: Tsimikas says goodbye to Liverpool, travel for Roma medical | OneFootball

Multiple sources confirm that Kostas Tsimikas has said goodbye to his Liverpool teammates and will travel for his Roma medical tests.

The left-back is on his way to the Eternal City, where he will undergo tests and spend this season at the Stadio Olimpico on loan.

There is not going to be an option to buy, but Roma will cover the entirety of his salary during the 2025-26 campaign.

Initially, Liverpool had not been prepared to let him leave on loan, but changed their minds.

New Roma adventure for Tsimikas

Tsimikas is seen as the alternative to current first choice Angelino on the left flank of Gian Piero Gasperini’s 3-4-3 formation.

Sources including Sky Sport Italia, Calciomercato.it and Fabrizio Romano all confirm he said goodbye to his Liverpool teammates this afternoon and was given permission to travel.

The Greece international turned 29 in May and is under contract with Liverpool until June 2027.

He joined the Premier League giants in August 2020 from Olympiacos in an agreement worth €13m.

Before that, he had also played for Willem II in the Netherlands and Danish side Esbjerg.
