Juventus are shattering club records with their dismal start to the Serie A season, including their worst home record since 1988 and fewest wins in 26 years.

The Bianconeri are still unbeaten in the top flight after 16 rounds, but 10 of those matches ended in stalemates, with only six victories to show for it.

Not since the 1998-99 campaign had Juve started with only six wins in their first 16 Serie A games, which becomes their joint worst tally in the three points for a win era.

They have drawn each of their last four Serie A matches against Milan, Lecce, Bologna and Venezia.

The Old Lady has also been desperately disappointing at the Allianz Juventus Stadium, culminating in this evening’s 2-2 draw with Venezia.

It means they have won just three of their first nine home games in Serie A this season.

Only twice before have they managed to do worse than this, getting two victories in 1956-57 and 1988-89.

When the comparisons are made with Max Allegri’s team last season, it is no more reassuring, as Thiago Motta is nine points worse off than at this stage in 2023.
