‘Different’ Manchester United star impresses during international break

Manchester United new boy Joshua Zirkzee impressed during his full debut for the Netherlands vs Bosnia on Saturday evening.

Joshua Zirkzee has continued to look lively during the opening games of the season since completing his move to Old Trafford this summer.

The former Bologna striker made a quick start to life as Red Devil with a debut goal against Fulham in the opening fixture of the Premier League.

Since the opening fixture, Zirkzee has been unlucky to not add more goals in his first few games in a red shirt.

The Dutchman was unlucky to cause Alejandro Garnacho’s potential goal in the Brighton & Hove Albion defeat to be disallowed. The 23-year-old forward accidentally made contact with the ball on the goal line while in an offside position.

The former Bayern Munich youngster was close to adding to his Manchester United tally against bitter rivals with two key chances against bitter rivals Liverpool.

Fellow Red Devils striker Rasmus Hojlund is closer to a comeback after a hamstring issue he picked up against Arsenal in pre-season.

Erik ten Hag has been happy with Zirkzee’s progress, and the new addition has impressed during the current international break.

Zirkzee made his first start for the Netherlands against Bosnia on Saturday evening.

Manchester United’s number 11 showed his creativity with impressive link-up play for his national side with a clear relationship with midfielder Tijjani Reijnders.

United’s new forward gave Holland the lead in the Nations League with an impressive looping header.

Zirkzee also showed his ‘different’ ability as a striker to create chances for teammates with an assist for Reijnders.
