La Liga giants Barcelona are ready to seek out one final addition to the club’s player ranks before the summer is out.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who have on Tuesday provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital.

Barcelona have of course endured a relatively quiet summer to date when it comes to arrivals.

To date, just three players have been brought in to reinforce Hansi Flick’s squad, in the form of Joan García, Roony Bardghji, and Marcus Rashford.

This was widely expected to mark the close of the Blaugrana’s market when it comes to signings.

As alluded to above, however, if the latest word doing the rounds in Spain early this week is anything to go by, then one more arrival could yet be in store…

As per a report from Sport:

‘Barça’s idea is to incorporate a defender of U23 age who has a lot of progression and who can be in the first team dynamic to help during the season.’

Deco and co. are eyeing a move for an affordable defensive talent, ‘who has the level to alternate between the reserve team and the first team’.
