Deportivo Alavés secure free agent striker deal | OneFootball

La Liga outfit Deportivo Alavés have tied up a deal for a fresh addition to the club’s attacking ranks.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, citing Diario AS, who point towards Bruno Petković as the player in question.

Frontman Petković for his part recently became available as a free agent.

This came after he failed to reach an agreement on the terms of a contract extension with Croatian giants Dinamo Zagreb.

Petković’s next landing spot appeared to have been confirmed earlier this month, upon confirmation arriving that the 30-year-old had flown to Turkey to pen a deal with Kocaelispor.

After the terms put in front of the player and his entourage differed from those previously promised, however, Petković made the call to pull the plug on negotiations.

And as much, as alluded to above, has paved the way for the experienced goalscorer to take his talents to Spain.

As per a report from MD:

‘Croatian striker Bruno Petković is about to become a new Deportivo Alavés player, according to ‘Diario AS’.’

The 42-time capped international, who will replace Kike García at Mendizorroza, is expected to sign a two-year contract with Alavés.
