Speaking during an event in Pompei on Thursday evening, Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis said (via Calciomercato.com): “Many new players will be arriving soon at Napoli.”

The stepping stone for Napoli’s new season was to confirm Antonio Conte on their bench for 2025-26.

“Conte is excellent, he’s the best coach we could have had,” continued De Laurentiis.

“He’s still with us and we’re holding on to him tightly.”

Napoli are expected to sign Sam Beukema from Bologna in the coming days and are still looking for two attacking wingers and a centre-forward.

Another Bologna player, Dan Ndoye, tops Conte’s shopping list for the attacking winger position, while Darwin Nunez is the priority target in attack, followed by Udinese’s Lorenzo Lucca.

Last but not least, Napoli remain in talks with Galatasaray over Victor Osimhen’s permanent transfer as they aim to get financial guarantees after the Turkish giants agreed to pay the striker’s €75m clause.
