Davies signs first professional deal | OneFootball

Mayzee Davies has signed her first professional contract with Manchester City.

The young defender was a regular in first team matchday squads for the Blues across the 2024/25 campaign and has also earned five senior caps for Wales.

She would likely have represented the Welsh at this summer’s European Championships but was ruled out after rupturing her anterior cruciate ligament in June 2025.

Davies’ recovery is now in full swing at the City Football Academy, and she’ll have her sights set on making her professional debut for the Club on her return to action.

A versatile and combative defender, the 19-year-old enjoyed a successful dual registration at Liverpool Feds last season, making 12 appearances in the third tier.

Mayzee was also part of the City squad to travel to the inaugural World Sevens tournament in Portugal, with the Blues reaching the semi-finals.

“She’s a highly rated member of the squad, who showed a fantastic attitude during her time with the first team last season.

“Her approach to recovery has also been first class and, while it’s a long road ahead, we’re excited for her to come back even better than before.”
