Burnley finally got their Premier League season off the mark with a 2-0 victory over Sunderland at Turf Moor.

The Clarets had a few early chances, including a goal from Lyle Foster that was ruled out for a foul on Jenson Seelt, but it was in the second half that they made the breakthrough.

Josh Cullen opened the scoring just 98 seconds after the restart, before Jaidon Anthony wrapped up the win with a smart breakaway goal in the final five minutes.

After last weekend’s 3-0 defeat to Tottenham, Scott Parker’s side can finally celebrate their first points of the season, while also taking the upper hand in the early tussle between the promoted teams.
