Crystal Palace forward Molly Sharpe has signed a two-year contract extension with the club.

The Eagles announced the news via a post on their official club website this morning.

Sharpe joined Crystal Palace in summer 2021 and she has been a near-ever present for the South Londoners. The forward has made 63 appearances for Crystal Palace in the Barclays Women’s Championship in which she has scored 17 goals. Sharpe was a key member of a Crystal Palace side that won the Barclays Women’s Championship title this season.

After playing her football in the second tier for a number of years, Sharpe is now ready to make the step up to Barclays Women’s Super League level. She will get that opportunity next season after extending her stay with Crystal Palace.

After retaining Sharpe’s services for two more years, Crystal Palace’s Head of Women’s Football, Grace Williams said “We are pleased that Molly has extended her stay at the club. She was an important part of our squad last season, and has been throughout her whole journey here.

“Molly is also a great person to work with and I am looking forward to seeing her continue to progress next season.”

Sharpe becomes the first player to sign a new contract at Crystal Palace this summer.
