On Thursday, Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann will name his squad for the upcoming UEFA Nations League quarter-final against Italy.
And speaking to FAZ, the former Bayern Munich boss reveals that he's not planning to make many changes to his squad.
"This is the shortest camp we have, so we can't change much. We can train the plan against the Italians in two 20-minute sessions," he said.
Nagelsmann is not expecting too many changes for the World Cup either, with the 37-year-old planning to stick with the majority of the players who featured at last year's European Championship.
"Of course we have a master plan for how we want to organise the World Cup qualifiers and then the World Cup itself.
"I'll stick to the fact that we have a core of 13 or 14 players that we trust. There can't be any open positions like there are at the club. Roles must be clear both on and off the pitch, even if they are perhaps a little more open at the moment," added Nagelsmann, who believes his team can go far at the tournament.
“I believe we can reach our peak at the World Cup. The learning curve I see with us is much steeper than I'm used to at clubs.”
