The official lineups for the Community Shield have been announced. Mohamed Salah and Hugo Ekitike are in the starting eleven.

Liverpool kick off their 2025-2026 season this Sunday. The Reds face Crystal Palace at Wembley in the Community Shield. With a squad reshaped over the summer, Liverpool will be aiming to lift this trophy for the 17th time, up against an Eagles side who claimed their first major title only last season.

Liverpool line up in a 4-2-3-1 formation featuring four new signings, starting with Frimpong and Kerkez at full-back to flank the Konaté-Van Dijk pairing. Wirtz will also make his official debut for the Reds, playing just behind Ekitike, another marquee signing from the summer transfer window. Salah and Gakpo will operate on the wings.
