Despite only taking charge of AC Milan recently, Sergio Conceicao’s future is already being threatened. As a result, a familiar (and desired) option is emerging.

It has been a really difficult season for Milan, and casualties are expected as a result. We have already seen Paulo Fonseca fall, and he may not be the only head coach to do so this season, with Conceicao’s position weakening.

Rumours about his future have already begun to heat up, and it seems that the only way the Portuguese will earn continuity is with Champions League qualification, which is still a very possible outcome for the season.

Nevertheless, other considerations are being made about the head coach position, and Calciomercato.com reports that the club may be willing to finally make a move for Antonio Conte, if (and it is a big if) the opportunity arises to do so.

Whilst the report states that ‘chances are high’ for Conceicao to earn the chance to take this team into a new season, the Conte situation is also too intriguing to ignore.

With his position in Naples becoming questionable, there is a chance that he could leave Napoli ahead of next season, and with the Rossoneri fans dreaming of the coach, there is a chance.

Perhaps, it could be the ‘famous click’ that the club, and Conte himself, have been looking for.
