Other clubs are waiting to see if Rangers star Connor Goldson’s potential transfer to Aris Limassol will break down, according to the Scottish Sun.

Cypriot outfit Aris Limassol have been in talks with the English centre-back over a move and he is also claimed to have travelled to Cyprus in recent days to hold talks with them.

He also captained the Gers against Ajax a week before in a pre-season clash and it has also been suggested that Goldson is travelling with the team to face Birmingham City tonight.

However, Aris Limassol do not have any agreement in place to sign Goldson at present.

And now it has been suggested that other suitors of the 31-year-old centre-back are closely monitoring his situation as they wait to see if his move to Aris Limassol fails.

The Gers’ opponents Birmingham were among the suitors and it remains to be seen if his performance tonight will ignite Blues interest even more.

The English defender joined the Gers back in 2018 and he has been a key player for the Scottish giants.

Now it remains to be seen if Goldson’s proposed move to Cyprus will materialise or if his other suitors will lure him away from Ibrox.
