European giants looking to snap up one of Manchester United’s stars are getting closer to having a deal in place.
Matters at Old Trafford went from bad to worse on Monday night when Newcastle United visited and ran out comfortable 2-0 winners.
Ruben Amorim is desperate for reinforcements in the January transfer window, but players are also likely to head away from the club.
Amorim brought Joshua Zirkzee off against Newcastle and the forward was subjected to boos and jeers from the Manchester United crowd.
The game could even turn out to be the Dutchman’s last for Manchester United as, according to Italian daily Tuttosport (via AreaNapoli), Juventus are getting closer to a deal.
They are working to sign Zirkzee on a loan deal for the rest of the season, with an option to buy, which would be linked to certain objectives, including Champions League qualification.
Despite an underwhelming time at Manchester United, the attacker’s stock in Italy remains high.
He was a key man for Bologna last season and found the back of the net 12 times in 37 outings for the Rossoblu.
