Real Madrid are growing increasingly frustrated with the timing of Saudi Arabian interest in their star forward, Vinicius Jr, claims a report from MARCA.
It must be noted that discussions between the Brazilian winger and Saudi delegates have been ongoing since 2023.
And now, it has come to light that among the clubs that have expressed a strong desire to sign him, Al Ahli has been leading the chase behind Al Ittihad, Al Hilal, and Al Nassr.
The leadership at Real Madrid is particularly displeased with the moment in which this interest has intensified.
They do not understand why these discussions are happening at such a crucial point in the season when the team is focused on competing for titles.
Their priority is to ensure that these external distractions do not affect either the club’s overall performance or Vinicius’ individual displays on the pitch. So far, they have managed to keep the situation under control, as evidenced by the team’s strong performances.

Despite the ongoing rumours, Real Madrid are approaching the matter with confidence. The reason behind their composed stance lies in Vinicius’ existing contract, which runs for another two and a half years, along with a staggering €1 billion release clause.
The club has no intention of selling him, and any potential suitor must be willing to pay the full amount stated in his contract if they wish to sign him.
One of the biggest concerns for Madrid is that this interest has surfaced in the middle of the season. What makes matters even more complicated is that Vinicius himself has acknowledged these discussions and has openly talked about them.
Real Madrid’s stance is clear—they will not make any adjustments to Vinicius’ contract now or in the summer.
The club has always prioritised its long-term vision over the individual demands of any player and their approach to salaries is dictated by the board, without allowing external pressure to influence decisions.
Adding to the confusion is the contradiction in Vinicius’ own statements. On one hand, he speaks about making history at Real Madrid, showing his commitment to the club. Yet, at the same time, he seems to be tempted by the lucrative offers coming from Saudi Arabia.
