MIAMI — The intensity increases across Concacaf W leagues as the road to the finding out the inaugural Concacaf W Champions Cup winner reaches the end of March.

Club América and Tigres UANL remain among the top four in Liga MX Femenil while NJ/NY Gotham FC and Portland Thorns continue to search for their first win of the NWSL season. The four sides will contest the 2024/25 Concacaf W Champions Cup Finals this May.

NWSL: Pride, Current remain undefeated

The second week of the 2025 NWSL season saw reigning NWSL Championship and Shield winners Orlando Pride extending its undefeated start with a two-nil win at Gotham FC. The Pride boast the league’s best offense with 8 goals and best defense with zero conceded.

Kansas City Current also has a two-win start with a two-nil win at the Washington Spirit. Bay FC, San Diego Wave and Seattle Reign follow in the standings, in that order, each also undefeated with one win and one draw.

Portland Thorns earned their first point of the year with a 1-1 draw against Angel City FC. Reilyn Turner scored the goal for the Thorns.

USL Super League: Fort Lauderdale, Brooklyn in tight race for first

The USL Super League 2024/25 season continued with Fort Lauderdale United FC retaining first place with a scoreless draw with Spokane Zephyr FC.

Brooklyn FC, also on 32 points, followed a midweek 3-nil defeat to fourth place Dallas Trinity FC with a 1-1 draw away at DC Power FC.

Carolina Ascent FC remained in third place with a 4-nil win at Lexington SC. Tampa Bay Sun FC fell 1-2 to Spokane midweek in a matchup of teams on the playoff race bubble.

Liga MX Femenil: Club América reclaims top of the table

Club América is back in first place in Mexico following a 2-1 win against Tigres UANL, in a meeting of Concacaf W Champions Cup semifinalists. Thembi Kgatlana opened the scoring in the 13’, before Scarlett Camberos tied in the 18’ for the Mexico City side. Nancy Antonio delivered the match-winner in the 64’ as Las Águilas soared back to the top spot.

CF Pachuca fell to second place with a 3-2 loss at Toluca FC. Charlyn Corral netted a brace, increasing her tally to 20 in the Golden Boot race. Las Tuzas followed up their Thursday encounter with a nil-nil draw on Monday to begin the 15th matchday.

Pumas UNAM stayed in third place with a 2-2 draw at Queretaro FC, who rounds out the playoff picture at eight place. CD Guadalajara, CF Monterrey and FC Juárez complete the list of teams fifth thorough seventh.
