City’s Academy: The Month Ahead | OneFootball

Everything you need to know ahead of the March fixtures for our Elite Development Squad and Under-18s.

With the first international break looming for our young boys in blue, March’s fixture list is slightly lighter compared to a busy February for both outfits.

But Ben Wilkinson and Oliver Reiss will be determined to have a strong start to the month with their respective teams as we continue to fight for silverware.

EDS FIXTURES

Hoffenheim v City | Wednesday 5 March, 13:00 (UK) | UEFA Youth League

To begin the month, Wilkinson’s Under-19s will travel to Germany to take on Hoffenheim in the Round of 16 of the European competition.

It follows our dramatic penalty shootout win over FC Midtjylland in the round prior which saw us win our first knockout stage game in three years.

During the match, live updates will be available on X: @ManCityAcademy with a detailed match report and post-match reaction to follow shortly after the game has concluded.

The winner will face Real Madrid or AZ Alkmaar with the quarter-final to be played in April

City v Crystal Palace | Sunday 16 March, 14:00 (UK) | Premier League 2

After confirming our place in the knockout stage of the Premier League 2, City will welcome Palace to the Joie Stadium and will look to put on a positive performance so we can stay at the league summit.

Our placement in the top 16 will determine our seeding for the knockout stage so every game is still vital for Wilkinson’s side.

Kick-off in Manchester is scheduled for 14:00 (UK) with live updates available on X from the first whistle. A detailed match report and post-match reaction will follow shortly after full-time.

U18S FIXTURES

City v Wolverhampton Wanderers | Saturday 8 March, 11:30 (UK) | Under-18 Premier League North

March begins with a home league clash with Wolves for our Under-18s as we fight to stay at the league summit.

It’s our first encounter of the campaign against the West Midlands outfit with the away fixture to be played in April.

Coverage of the game will include regular updates on X: @ManCityAcademy as well as a comprehensive match report and post-match reaction on our digital estate shortly after the final whistle.

Stoke v City | Saturday 15 March, 11:00 (UK) | Under-18 Premier League North

Following that, City will travel to Stoke.

In our home clash earlier this season, Reiss’s side beat Stoke 4-1 thanks to goals from Divine Mukasa, Charlie Courtman and Christian Dunbar-McDonald.

Blackburn Rovers v City | Saturday 29 March, 11:00 (UK) | Under-18 Premier League North

To complete the month, the Under-18s will travel to Blackburn for another league encounter once the players have returned from international duty.

The match will be available to watch live on CITY+ as the action unfolds with coverage also available on X.
