City’s first Barclays Women’s Super League clash at the Etihad Stadium this season is just one week away!

Gareth Taylor’s side face Tottenham Hotspur on Friday 8 November with kick-off scheduled for 19:30 (UK).

City are currently top of the WSL table with four wins from our opening five fixtures.

And we’ve also made an impressive start in the UEFA Women’s Champions League, with victories over reigning champions Barcelona and away at St Polten.

Tottenham have had a tough start to the season with defeats against Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea.

But last season’s FA Cup finalists are full of quality and City will be prepared for a big test as we aim to maintain our WSL title challenge.

The two sides met other four times last season, with City winning three of them ahead of the latest encounter under the Etihad lights.

It suggests an entertaining clash for what will be our fifth games at the Etihad and the first of three WSL fixtures there this season.

Our last fixture was a 3-1 win in the Manchester derby back in March 2024 when Jess Park struck twice and Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw hit the other in front of over 40,000 fans.
