City enter the fixture looking to bounce back from a narrow 1-0 loss against Nottingham Forest and claim all three points against Roberto De Zerbi’s high-flying Seagulls.

Our last meeting saw us fall to a 2-1 defeat with a first half goal from Erling Haaland only acting as a consolation. Joao Pedro hauled them level before Matt O’Riley netted five minutes later as they completed the comeback.

It’s all to play for this time round as Brighton sit seventh with the opportunity to leapfrog City if they claim all three points. The Seagulls remain unbeaten in their last four league games and with 46 points accrued so far it looks to be a difficult meeting.

It poses to be another exciting weekend and FPL managers will have all eyes on the top-flight fixtures in hope of maximising their points.

Read the Scout’s latest report below ahead of Saturday 15 March’s 13:30 (UK) deadline.

City Star

Josko Gvardiol (£5.9m) looks the perfect solution for managers looking for a new defender for Blank Gameweek 29 in Fantasy Premier League (FPL).

No defender has produced as many goals (five), big chances (10), penalty area touches (85) or passes in the final third (512), as Gvardiol this season. Meanwhile, only Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7.5m) and Pedro Porro (£5.3m) have had more attempts on goal than the Croat’s 34.

Gvardiol has also collected two clean sheets in the last four Gameweeks. He will also fancy his chances at the other end of the pitch against an attacking Brighton side who have conceded 10 goals in the last five matches.

Furthermore, City’s schedule eases up considerably after the Seagulls’ visit and having Gvardiol on board could prove a canny addition.

One to watch

Joao Pedro (£5.5m) has been Brighton’s form man in recent matches. The forward has scored in each of his last three appearances, also producing an assist.

Differentials

Elsewhere, Evanilson (£5.6m) and Morgan Gibbs-White (£6.5m) are low-owned gems worthy of consideration this Gameweek.

Bournemouth’s Evanilson scored on his first start since a six-week injury against Spurs in Gameweek 28.

Meanwhile, Gibbs-White has produced five assists in as many matches. He faces Ipswich in GW29.
