Djordje Petrovic’s (25) future remains unclear. The Serbian has got his career back on track whilst on loan at RC Strasbourg Alsace. He has previously alluded to remaining at the Ligue 1 club, who next season will dispute the UEFA Europa Conference League.
However, reports in the UK have suggested that Petrovic will return to parent club, Chelsea, where he will compete for the No.1 jersey. Neither Robert Sanchez nor Filip Jörgensen have overwhelmingly impressed and so there could be an opening for the returning Strasbourg loanee.
There may, however, be the possibility of remaining in Ligue 1 next season. As per L’Équipe, Petrovic is a target for AS Monaco, who have publicly expressed their intent to sign a new goalkeeper this summer. The CFC goalkeeper is also open to a move to the Principality club, however, Chelsea’s €25m valuation could prove an issue. Fiorentina’s David De Gea and OGC Nice’s Marcin Bulka have also been linked with Les Monégasques.
