Chelsea have been told to sign one player this summer who would change things for them ‘without a shout of doubt’

The Blues are expected to be busy now this summer, and we have had plenty of updates floating around this week already.

And there has also been a lot of noise regarding Jadon Sancho and whether Chelsea will actually be signing him from Manchester United permanently in the summer or not. The Athletic are reporting that there is a £5m break clause fee that Chelsea can pay to send him back and terminate the loan obligation to buy.

Back to the striker search now, because this is the priority and this is what Chelsea truly need to elevate themselves back towards the top consistently. But it is so important now that they pick the right name and get the right calibre of striker in the door this summer.

Chelsea need a target and a box presence, and Victor Osimhen is probably one of the best at doing that in the game right now and he scores goals for fun.

Former player Jermaine Pennant has told Chelsea to sign him in words picked up on X.

He said:

“He (Victor Osimhen) would change things for Chelsea without a shout of a doubt. He knows how to put the ball in the back of the net. His numbers are flying in, his numbers are great.

“I’m gonna look back to Jackson and how many chances he gets a game, but the conversion rate isn’t great. He can have three or four clear-cut chances and he won’t put any of them away.

“You’re scratching your head, thinking about how have Chelsea come away with a draw or a loss. I think someone like Osimhen, who is prolific in front of goal would boost Chelsea or boost any team.”
