Chelsea have announced the signing of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from Leicester City.

The 25-year-old has put pen to paper on a long-term contract at Stamford Bridge, leaving the Foxes for a £30m fee.

He told the club's website: "It is amazing to be sitting here as a Chelsea player.

"This is a club people grow up watching and hoping to one day play for, so it is a privilege to be here.

"I'm really excited to get going and can't wait to show everybody what I can do."

Dewsbury-Hall played a starring role in Leicester's promotion-winning 2023/24 campaign, finishing top of a competitive Championship. He registered 12 goals and 14 assists from central midfield and is reunited with head coach Enzo Maresca, who has also swapped Leicester for Chelsea this summer.

Speculation over Dewsbury-Hall's future has rumbled on all summer long. Reports claimed Leicester had agreed to a swap deal with Brighton & Hove Albion that would have seen Jakub Moder move to the King Power Stadium, but this fell through and paved the way for Chelsea to swoop in.

Dewsbury-Hall becomes Chelsea's fourth signing of the summer. Centre-back Tosin Adarabioyo has joined on a free transfer from Fulham, while forward Omari Kellyman recently wrapped up a £19m move from Aston Villa and striker Marc Guiu signed for £5m from Barcelona on Monday.

Leicester, meanwhile, are in the midst of rebuilding despite their promotion, with Steve Cooper replacing Maresca in the dugout. Ex-Chelsea boss Graham Potter had been linked with the job before Cooper was appointed last month.
