Charlton Athletic Athletic have completed the signing of striker Charlie Kelman from QPR.
The 23-year-old has agreed a four-year deal at The Valley after a sensational loan spell at Leyton Orient last season, where he hit 27 goals in all competitions and claimed the League One Golden Boot.
Kelman was also the subject of a bid from MLS side Charlotte FC, which was turned down. Although he represents the USA at international level and has previously played for England U21s, Kelman made it clear his priority was a move to the Championship.
He becomes Charlton’s eighth signing of the summer under manager Nathan Jones, following the arrivals of Sonny Carey, Thomas Kaminski, Reece Burke, Joe Rankin-Costello, Tanto Olaofe, Amari’i Bell, and Rob Apter.
Speaking to the club's media team, Kelman said: “I'm excited to be here. It’s a good squad, defensively solid and going forward very good as well.
"I feel like I’m ready for the Championship. I’m going to give it my best shot. I want to get my head down, score some goals and enjoy it."
