Celtic v Dundee: Rookie Referee handed Paradise Debut

The Scottish Champions host the Dens Park on a full midweek card in the Scottish Premiership and rookie ref Ross Hardie will have the whistle. The Detective Constable from Dunoon has been given the midweek clash, which will be his first game officiating Celtic as referee at Celtic Park.
Hardie will be assisted by Graeme Stewart and Paul McAvinue. Meanwhile, at Clydesdale House, Matthew MacDermid is on VAR duties with Andrew McWilliam assisting.

Hardie actually took charge of Celtic’s Women as they beat Glasgow City in the SWPL Cup Final at Firhill back in 2021, which Fran Alonso’s side 1-0.
Hardie refereed Rangers’ 6-0 win over Ross County at Hampden earlier this season. Although, he will be relishing the next step in his career as he takes charge of a game of Scotland’s top club.
Brendan Rodgers has an impressive record against Dundee, winning 12 out of 13 meetings with just a 0-0 draw in April 2018 blotting his form book. Celtic will be looking to take maximum points and put pressure on Aberdeen, who face theRangers at Pittodrie with the game kicking off 15 minutes after Celtic.
