Corberan believes his team must bring their A-game this evening - or they will face defeat.

West Bromwich Albion boss Carlos Corberan has warned his team that they must be at their best against Burnley if they are to win three points on Thursday evening.

He made this claim to Albion's media team, ahead of what could be a very important game for both sides at The Hawthorns.

The Baggies have failed to win any of their last seven league games, drawing their last five.

Although they have managed to pick up quite a few draws, that hasn't prevented them from slipping down the table.

They had the opportunity to win some of those games - and nearly won their away clash at Oxford United - with Dane Scarlett equalising for the U's in stoppage time at the Kassam Stadium.

They also took a 1-0 lead against Luton Town last week but were unable to hold on to that advantage, and they only came away with a point from Kenilworth Road in the end.

Getting back to winning ways is a must for an Albion side that are now outside the play-offs as a result of their winless run.

The Clarets, meanwhile, need to pick themselves up after their loss against Millwall on Sunday.

Failing to win any of their last three games, all of which were winnable, they have dropped a number of valuable points and it's clear that they will fall out of the mix for automatic promotion unless they can get some wins on the board in the short term.

The Clarets may not have been at their best recently, but Corberan believes his team must perform well if they want to come out of Thursday night's game with a positive result.

He said: "Burnley have one of the strongest squads in the Championship, but this league is very equal and it’s difficult to predict results.

"They don’t concede many goals, but they do it by not doing too much defending. They are built to have the ball, play from the back, put the ball in the attacking half and be dominant.

"They lost their last game at Millwall and I’ve watched other games of theirs recently where they didn’t achieve the result that their performance deserved, but like I say, every game demands a lot in this league.

"If you don’t deliver your best, you are going to put the result at risk. We need to make sure we’re at our best on Thursday."

Both West Brom and Burnley need wins from this game

On paper, a draw for both sides probably wouldn't be bad.

The Baggies are facing one of the best teams in the division and even though they are at home, a draw wouldn't be disastrous.

The Clarets, meanwhile, are facing one of their more difficult games on the road this evening and it would be a boost for them if they can get something from the game.

A loss would put a bit of pressure on Scott Parker, so getting something from this game would be ideal for him.

However, considering both sides' recent results, both teams should be looking to get a win from this game. They need wins to gain some momentum in their respective promotion quests.
