Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has this weekend provided updates on the wellbeing of two sidelined members of his squad.
The players in question? Ferland Mendy, and Dani Ceballos.
Both defender Mendy and midfielder Ceballos are of course on the treatment table at present.
In the case of the former, as much comes owing to a hamstring injury suffered en route to Real Madrid’s derby victory over Atlético in the Champions League earlier this month.
Ceballos, meanwhile, has been unavailable since late-February, after picking up a hamstring problem of his own during a Copa del Rey meeting with Real Sociedad.
Both players, in turn, had since been labelled major doubts to feature in Real’s upcoming Champions League quarter-final first-leg meeting with Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.
If the latest comments on the part of boss Carlo Ancelotti are anything to go by, however, then both players remain in with a shot of playing their part at The Emirates on April 8th:
“We’re in the process of recovering both Ferland Mendy and Dani Ceballos for the first leg against Arsenal. We are trying to get both of them back.”
