The match officials for Leeds United’s Sky Bet Championship clash with Cardiff City on Saturday have been announced, with Michael Salisbury set to take charge at Elland Road.

Part of the Select Group of match officials, Salisbury made his debut in the Premier League in 2021 and has gone on to take charge of 39 top-flight fixtures to date.

That includes seven matches so far this term, most recently overseeing Liverpool’s 4-1 victory over Ipswich Town at Anfield last weekend.

Despite his extensive experience, the Lancashire-based referee has only officiated three matches involving the Whites, which included an enthralling 4-2 success over Wolves away from home back in 2023.

From the six Cardiff games Salisbury has taken charge of, the Bluebirds have won three times and lost the other three. Last time out, the Welsh side were heavily beaten by Burnley earlier in the campaign.
