Juventus coach Thiago Motta has confirmed that Italy international Andrea Cambiaso will play for Juventus in their upcoming Serie A match against Milan on Saturday, despite reports linking him with a move to Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City in January.
The versatile defender, who is capable of playing at either side of full-back, on the flank or in midfield, is subject of interest from Man City, who are reportedly preparing a 65m bid to bring him over to the Etihad Stadium. Reports on Friday suggest that Juventus are seeking a fee in the region of 80m.

However, despite being linked with a move away from Turin, and despite the fact that Juventus have just welcomed a new full-back in Alberto Costa, Cambiaso is still set to be involved against Milan on Saturday, Motta confirmed during his pre-match press conference.
“You know I don’t like to talk about the transfer market, but Andrea Cambiaso is fine and will play tomorrow,” the Juventus coach told the press, reported via TMW.
This will be the second time in two weeks that Juventus and Milan have faced each other. Thiago Motta’s side were beaten 2-1 in Saudi Arabia during the Supercoppa Italiana, which Milan ultimately won with a come-back victory over rivals Inter a few days later.
Just three points separate the two sides in the table, although the Rossoneri have a game in hand over Juve as things stand.
