Burnley and Palace battle to sign Cajuste | OneFootball

Burnley and Crystal Palace are keen to sign Napoli midfielder Jens Cajuste, according to Sky Sports.

Several European clubs, including Besiktas and Sevilla, are monitoring the 25-year-old. Palace and Burnley are the latest Premier League teams to show interest.

Cajuste spent last season on loan at Ipswich Town, where he bagged one goal and one assist in 33 appearances.

Despite Ipswich’s relegation to the Championship, the Sweden international caught the eye with several strong performances.

Ipswich had an option to buy Cajuste permanently, but that was only possible if they avoided relegation.

Even though that deal fell through, they are interested in bringing him back this summer.

Palace eager to build for European campaign

Palace are preparing to play European football next season and are looking to boost their midfield options to cope with the extra fixtures.

Cajuste’s work rate and energy make him a good fit. Palace need players who can offer depth and quality, and the Swede is high on their list.

Burnley are also interested in signing Cajuste. They want to bring in experienced players who can help them avoid a quick return to the Championship.

Cajuste is known for his ball-winning skills and strong dribbling. He presses well and covers plenty of ground in midfield.
