Bukayo Saka it’s time to join Liverpool | OneFootball

At the weekend, Bukayo Saka and his Arsenal teammates are going to be standing around at Anfield waiting for the champions to walk out of the tunnel so they can give them a big round of applause.

Inside, Arteta's side will be seething but deep down some of the players will also have to question their futures.

Among them will be Saka. He's got two years left on his current deal. He's about to enter the prime years of his career - does he really want to stick around the Emirates to deal with constant disappointment.

A few years ago now, one of his former teammates, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain had a similar epiphany.

He joined Liverpool back in 2017 and went onto be a Premier League and Champions League champion.

Saka must do the same now. He's got no choice left but to go somewhere else if he wants to be considered a serial winner and a generational footballer.

Liverpool can give him the home that he deserves. He'd be playing in front of a loyal crowd and joining a team that know how to win.

Players like Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah are true leaders who have been there and delivered at the times when it mattered the most.

Saka doesn't want to languish in mediocrity forever. There is a way out of his Arsenal nightmare.

For Liverpool, Arsenal's failure is a golden opportunity to try to convince one of the best players in the league to sign for them. Right now is probably the best time, with Saka having just two years left on his current deal.

It puts Arsenal in a vulnerable position. Next year, they will only be able to sell Saka for less money. The year after that he could leave on a free.
