Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes was surprised by the club’s decision to sell talented youngster Maxi Oyedele during the summer transfer window.

Legia Warsaw manager Goncalo Feio praised Oyedele and revealed that he had consulted with Fernandes before completing the transfer.

“Bruno Fernandes told me he was shocked that United were letting him leave. Maxi looked excellent in pre-season and showed great potential,” Feio said, praising Oyedele’s ability to control the midfield and his strong physical presence.

Feio added, “The quality on the ball, his personality, and his decision-making are exceptional for his age.”

The 19 year old’s technical ability is complemented by excellent ball control, which allows him to dictate the pace of play and contribute effectively in midfield.

Oyedele’s physicality and maturity enable him to win duels and provide a strong presence, which is crucial for breaking up opposition attacks.

Additionally, his tactical awareness and versatility allow him to adapt to various midfield roles.

Oyedele’s performances have already made an impact in Poland, and his impressive displays for Legia suggest that Man United may regret their decision.

His rise has been rapid, and with the Polish national team call-up, he continues developing quickly.

After his departure, Oyedele took to Instagram to share an emotional farewell.

He wrote, “My time at Manchester United has come to an end. Honoured to say I’ve been at the club for 12 years. This club will always be my home, and once again, thank you.”
