Bruno Fernandes is in arguably the form of his life right now for Manchester United, with his star performance at Leicester bringing up 50 Premier League assists for the Portuguese midfielder.
Some have said he hasn't done it in the Champions League, but that is simply not true.
While he has the most combined goals and assists - 41 - in Europa League history, he also consistently delivered whenever United have been in Europe's top competition in his five and a bit years at Old Trafford, which has been far too little for a man of his talents.
In total, he has eight goals and 11 assists in 25 appearances, seven of the latter coming in just eight games in the 2021/22 season. Cristiano Ronaldo, Marcus Rashford and Harry Maguire were all benefactors of his creativity.
It's certainly not Fernandes' fault that United aren't competing at an elite level right now, and he more than anyone will be deserving of Champions League football if Ruben Amorim can mastermind Europa League success and rescue a horrid season.
