Bristol City announce departure of midfielder Rodgers | OneFootball

Bristol City have announced the news that midfielder Amy Rodgers has left the club following the expiry of her contract at Ashton Gate.

The Robins revealed the player’s departure via a post on their official club website this evening.

The 25-year-old joined Bristol City in summer 2023 after leaving former club London City Lionesses. Rodgers has been a near-ever present for The Robins in her two years in the South West.

The midfielder has arguably been one of Bristol City’s most dependable players in the last couple of years but her journey with the club has now come to an end.

After her Bristol City exit was announced, Rodgers said “I would like to say thank you to every teammate and staff member who has made these two years some of the most memorable in my career.

“A special mention to the fans, it was a pleasure to play in front of you and representing your club has been an honour. I wish you all the best for the future.”

Rodgers is the fifth first team player to leave Bristol City this summer. Jesse Woolley, Jasmine Bull, Amalie Thestrup and Ffion Morgan have also left Ashton Gate at the end of their deals.
