It represents our return to Premier League action following our superb 8-0 win over Salford City last time out in the FA Cup third round which also signalled our third triumph in succession.

But we’ll have to be at our very best to extend that winning streak against a Bees side who have won seven of their 10 league assignments at home so far in 2024/25.

The last time we locked horns with Thomas Frank’s side, Erling Haaland played a starring role by scoring twice at the Etihad Stadium which helped us to a hard fought 2-1 success.

Before the latest meeting between the sides, our FPL Scout has provided all the latest tips and tricks to maximise managers’ points returns ahead of Tuesday 14 January’s 18:00 (UK) deadline.

CITY STAR

Phil Foden (£9.2m) looks a good investment for Gameweek 21 in Fantasy Premier League (FPL).

In the last four gameweeks he has produced two goals and an assist. He, along with Savio (£6.5m), have been at the heart of City’s attack.

Over the last four Gameweeks, only three midfielders have scored more goals than Foden.

Indeed, only three have produced more than his six shots on target, and only three have a better non-penalty expected goal involvement than the Englishman.

From Gameweek 17-20 only Cole Palmer (£11.4m) has created more chances among midfielders than Foden’s 11.

The latter also leads the way for successful crosses (seven) and successful crosses from free-kicks (five).

ONE TO WATCH

Bryan Mbeumo (£7.8m) has been Brentford’s star this season. He has produced five goals and two assists in the last five gameweeks.

DIFFERENTIALS

Elsewhere, Crystal Palace's Ebereche Eze (£6.6m) and Bournemouth's Antoine Semenyo (£5.6m) are low-owned gems with good potential in Gameweek 21.

In the last four gameweeks, Eze, ranks third among midfielders for shots taken (14) and has an attacking return in each of the last two gameweeks.

Semenyo has produced a goal and an assist in the last four Gameweeks and is joint-third in that period for expected goals (xG) with a tally of 1.61.
