Brentford eye Burnley manager to replace Tottenham-bound Thomas Frank | OneFootball

Brentford are reportedly considering appointing Scott Parker as their new manager.

The Bees are set to lose Thomas Frank to Tottenham Hotspur. He has agreed to join the Lilywhites.

According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Brentford have drawn up a three-man shortlist to replace Frank, including Parker.

He is reportedly happy at Turf Moor, but the opportunity to join a bigger club could be tempting.

Parker replaced Vincent Kompany last summer and guided them to promotion, finishing behind eventual winners Leeds United with 100 points.

However, Brentford supporters are unlikely to be happy if the club appoint him as Frank’s replacement.

He previously made over 120 appearances and managed 105 games for rivals Fulham.

The Cottagers also won the 2019-20 Championship play-off final under Parker by defeating the Bees 2-1.

Parker failed to keep them in the top tier the following season and eventually left the club by mutual consent in June 2021.

Parker performed the same feat in his next job at Bournemouth, sealing Premier League promotion by leading them to a second-place finish.

He was sacked after losing three of their opening four matches, including a 9-0 humiliation at Liverpool.
