Manchester United outcast Antony has received an offer from Al-Nassr who are looking to reunite him with Cristiano Ronaldo.

The two stars played side-by-side at Old Trafford for circa six months, but their collaboration ended when the Portuguese superstar completed a shocking move to the Saudi Pro League giants in January 2023, which paved the way for many other world-class players, who ended up joining CR7 in the Arabic kingdom.

While the 40-year-old has been the main attraction in Saudi Arabia, Antony has been struggling for prominence at Man United. The Brazilian only managed to rekindle his career when he moved to Real Betis last January.

But while the Andalusians have been eager to keep him on a permanent basis, the costs of the operation are seemingly beyond their financial means.

Antony’s Saudi move taking shape?

After weeks of negotiations, the player may have given up on his desire to linger in Spain, realising he might have to accept a more plausible solution. Therefore, recent reports claimed that Antony has finally opened up to Saudi Arabia, a destination he had previously rejected.

This new stance has been confirmed by the player’s representatives, which seemingly prompted a swift offer.

According to French journalist Santi Aouna, Al-Nassr have presented Man United with an offer for Antony.

The transfer market expert adds that the Saudi Pro League giants don’t only want to sign the Man Utd outcast, but also Chelsea’s Joao Felix, who is also struggling to find a suitor in Europe following a disappointing loan spell at AC Milan.

If Al-Nassr manage to pull off both operations, Ronaldo wouldn’t only be reunited with his former MUFC teammate, but also his Portuguese compatriot.

For their part, Man United would be delighted to take one of their outcasts off their books, even if Ruben Amorim insisted that he’s willing to reinstate Antony or any other player who fails to seal a move away.
