According to Mundo Deportivo, the Brazil Football Federation (CBF) is still keen on making Carlo Ancelotti their next national team coach, despite recent talks nearly falling apart and are now willing to wait for the Italian.
Earlier this week, it seemed like the deal was off the table. But the CBF has now chosen to stay patient and see if they can still land the Italian boss.
The discussions between Ancelotti and the CBF are ongoing. CBF president Ednaldo Rodrigues and team director Rodrigo Caetano are leading the talks.
Their main concern is that Ancelotti is still under contract with Real Madrid. Unless something unexpected happens, his current role at Madrid will continue until the La Liga season ends on May 26.

There is a chance that Real Madrid could speed up the process. If Madrid lose the Clasico against Barcelona on May 11, their chances of winning the league would be over.
This could push Florentino Perez to let Ancelotti leave early, clearing the way for him to take over Brazil.
Even with this uncertainty, two sources from the CBF say they are “in no hurry.” Brazil just want things to be sorted out before May 20.
That’s when they are expected to announce the squad list for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Ecuador (June 4) and Paraguay (June 9).
For now, the CBF is keeping the negotiations under wraps. There is no official deal yet, and they are not confirming anything publicly. But their actions show they still want Ancelotti and are willing to wait a little longer to try and make it happen.
