Former Real Madrid midfielder Kaka has voiced his strong support for Los Blancos ahead of the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup, set to begin next week in the United States.
In a statement shared by FIFA, Kaka made it clear that when it comes to Real Madrid, nothing less than winning is acceptable.
“For Real Madrid, there is no other option than to win the Club World Cup,” Kaka said. “All expectations are on Real Madrid. In every tournament they play, they are expected to reach the final and lift the trophy.”
Kaka, who played for Real Madrid for four seasons, is no stranger to success on the world stage.
He won the Club World Cup in 2007 with AC Milan, defeating Boca Juniors in the final. Despite having played for various clubs during his career, the Brazilian icon admits he still feels a strong connection with Madrid.
“I feel like a real Madridista,” he added, expressing his support for the Spanish giants while also admitting that he would be cheering for Xabi Alonso’s team during the tournament.

It must be noted that the new format of the Club World Cup will also feature four Brazilian sides, namely Flamengo, Fluminense, Botafogo, and Palmeiras.
While Kaka naturally has pride in seeing clubs from his home country competing, his heart is firmly with Madrid.
“I hope Real Madrid can advance as far as possible, reach the final, and, of course, have the chance to win first place, making history once again,” he said.
As the tournament draws closer, fans will be watching to see if Madrid can live up to the high expectations, especially after a disappointing season under Carlo Ancelotti. And with support from legends like Kaka, the pressure is certainly there.
