Fabrizio Romano posted a big exclusive on his X account last night as a surprise potential last minute Chelsea deal surfaces.

We go into the final week of the summer transfer window tomorrow and it seems like there is still so much that Chelsea want to and need to get done, mainly outgoings.

Chelsea took an important step forward with the sale of Renato Veiga to Villareal this week, clearing another squad player from the books.

And another defender they need to move on is Axel Disasi. And apparently they are now hopeful of doing this in the final week of the window with Premier League clubs moving in on him.

Perhaps once these deals are done then we might see one or two more new arrivals at Stamford Bridge before the window ends.

Another player who is still looking to and expected to go is Christopher Nkunku, and a surprise club has now come in for him.

Villa ask about Nkunku

Fabrizio Romano posted this exclusive on X last night. He said:

“Aston Villa make contact for Christopher Nkunku as option for the final week of the transfer window.

“Bayern and Leipzig both keen: #AVFC also now informed on conditions.

“Villa also have Nico Jackson (many clubs keen) and Asensio on list.”

Don’t see this as being likely

I just don’t see him going to Villa in all honesty. I thought Nicolas Jackson going there seemed likely but I can’t see it with Nkunku. I think he will end up back in Germany personally. I don’t think Villa will present the kind of deal that Chelsea would accept for either Nkunku or Jackson at this point though.

I don’t think it’s possible for either to go there unless on loans.
