If you're sick and tired of getting skinned down the left wing by Vinicius Junior, then you need to up your right-back game in EA FC.
Fortunately, the newest release in the franchise, EA FC 25, boasts a wide range of exceptional right-backs perfect for keeping those pesky wingers far from your goal. A few of them might even help you at the other end of the pitch, too.
Whether you like your right-backs to invert, bomb down the flank or defend narrow, there are plenty of options available to you this year.
Here are the highest-rated right-backs in EA FC 25.

Whether he likes it or not, Jules Kounde is now a right-back. Of course, the powerful defender is also capable of playing in the centre in EA FC 25, which is where plenty of players will use him given his 84 pace, but his dynamism also makes him a defiant presence on the right-hand side. The French Barcelona right-back has been a consistent presence for club and country over the past few seasons, and is one of the leading players in his position on this year's game.
Ronald Araujo has flourished at Barca / Quality Sport Images/GettyImages
Moving from one Barcelona defender who can play right-back and centre-back to another, Ronald Araujo shares the same 85 overall rating as his French teammate Kounde. The defender has missed the start of the 2024/25 season through injury but he showed his quality during a difficult campaign for the Catalan giants under Xavi last season.
Ona Batlle won the quadruple last season / Quality Sport Images/GettyImages
Barcelona are pretty well stocked at right-back across their men's and women's teams, with Ona Batlle having thrived since her move to Catalonia at the start of 2023/24. While she's chiefly a left-back, she can play on the right as well. It was a pretty decent debut season for Batlle following a switch from Manchester United, with the Spain international winning the quadruple with Barcelona and earning an 85 overall rating in EA FC 25.

Forget your right-backs who are actually centre-backs and left-backs, Ashley Lawrence is a pure right-back. She can only play that one position but she does it incredibly well, earning an 85 rating after winning the Women's Super League title in her debut season with Chelsea. The Canadian is an all-rounder capable of driving forward with her 84 pace and 80 dribbling, and nullifying attackers with her 82 defending and 77 physical.

Having won the quadruple alongside fellow full-back Batlle last season, Lucy Bronze decided to swap sunny Catalonia for wet and windy west London. She's guaranteed to make a huge impact for Chelsea on her return to the WSL. Bronze has actually been downgraded by two overall in EA FC 25 and will have to settle for an 85 rating this year, but the excellent right-back will be looking to return to 87 overall in next year's game.
John Stones has shown his ability to play at right-back / Stu Forster/GettyImages
John Stones has shown his incredible versatility under Pep Guardiola over recent years and one of the positions he has filled is right-back. Sure, the England international is far more comfortable centrally, but he's an incredible talent no matter his role. Therefore, it's unsurprising to see the Manchester City man register an 85 overall rating in EA FC this year, which is the same as he received last year, too. The model of consistency.
Joshua Kimmich is an exceptional right-back / Sebastian Widmann/GettyImages
Joshua Kimmich has spent much of his career fighting the tag of right-back, despite his obvious ability in the position. He prefers flexing his creative muscles in midfield but his return to defence last season brought out the best in him. He's perhaps not an ideal right-back on EA FC given his lack of physical attributes - 69 pace is killer - but his versatility and quality makes him an impressive pick in Career Mode at the very least.
Dani Carvajal won some big prizes last term / Quality Sport Images/GettyImages
Not many people would have predicted Dani Carvajal's 2023/24. Even the Real Madrid right-back would have been sceptical had you told him what he was going to achieve. But off the back of a Euro 2024, Champions League and La Liga triumph, the Spanish international has received a mighty - and justified - upgrade in EA FC 25. The veteran has moved from 82 to 86 overall and offers an all-round threat in defence and attack.
Joao Cancelo has moved to Saudi Arabia / Mateusz Slodkowski/GettyImages
Having fallen out of favour at Man City, Joao Cancelo's loan move to Barcelona was a no-brainer. The Portuguese transferred to left-back - which is now his primary position on EA FC - and put in some impressive displays in Catalonia. Since then, Cancelo has swapped Spain for Saudi Arabia, teaming up with Neymar and friends at Al Hilal. The 30-year-old boasts an 86 overall rating and some pretty special stats, as well as four-star weak foot and skill moves.
Trent Alexander-Arnold is among the best right-backs / Visionhaus/GettyImages
A generational talent, a magician, a world-class right-back. Trent Alexander-Arnold is unsurprisingly one of only four 86-rated right-backs in EA FC 25, with the Liverpool defender not receiving an alternate position of midfield in this year's game. That means he's still very much a right-back in-game, even though Kevin De Bruyne is the only outfield player that can better his 90 passing stat. Whether you're playing Career Mode or Ultimate Team, Alexander-Arnold remains an excellent asset.
