Congratulations to Iman Beney, who has been selected to represent Switzerland at Euro 2025.
The teenage attacker became Manchester City’s latest summer signing last week, joining the Club from BSC Young Boys Frauen.
The 18-year-old joins the Blues on the back of a memorable 2024/25 campaign, where she helped her side win the Swiss title for the first time since 2011.
Beney was also named in the Swiss Super League Team of the Season and will be hoping to build on that success this summer at Euro 2025.
Switzerland are the host nation, with our new recruit set for her first major tournament experience.
The hosts have been placed in Group A alongside Norway, Iceland and Finland.
Beney and co. are in action on the opening day of the tournament when they face Norway at 20:00 (UK) on Wednesday 2 July in Basel.
Their second group fixture sees them lock horns with Iceland on Sunday 6 July at 20:00, before a final matchup with Finland four days later, which also gets under way at 20:00.
Should they qualify from Group A, they will face either Belgium, Italy, Portugal or world champions Spain in the quarter-finals.
The teenager was called up by her nation for the 2023 World Cup as a 16-year-old but ruptured her Anterior Cruciate Ligament that summer.
This is therefore her first taste of major tournament football, as Switzerland look to build on their Round of 16 performance at that World Cup two years ago.
