Bayern Munich reveal full Club World Cup squad | OneFootball

Bundesliga champions FC Bayern Munich are officially taking 29 players with them to the Club World Cup. Among these shall be two summer transfers (Jonathan Tah and Tom Bischof) whom the German record champions have paid extra transfer fees to acquire early.

The early procurement of Tah and Bischof was made possible by a special transfer window organized by FIFA for the novel “World Cup warm-up” tournament in the USA. European footballing contracts and loan agreements ordinarily expire on June 30th. The competition begins in June 14th.

The “special transfer window” officially closes today, June 10th 2025.

Bayern ended up recalling only two loan-outs (Adam Aznou and Maurice Krattenmacher) early. The German giants will nevertheless still be taking other young talents with them. Leon Klanac (18), Lennart Karl (17) David Santos Daiber (18), Cassiano Kiala (16) and Jonah Kusi-Asare (17) are also coming along.

In what was a fairly significant piece of news, Bayern confirmed on Tuesday that attacker Leroy Sané would partake. Sané – who sits on a contract due to expire on June 30th – has rejected Bayern’s latest offer of a contract extension.

Current reports hold that EPL and Turkish Süperliga clubs are offering Sané a better salary package. The 70-times-capped German international will likely sign elsewhere ahead of next season. Bayern will have to arrange a special short-term contract for Sané should they progress to the tournament knockouts.
