Bayern Munich have identified Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili as a potential summer target, reports Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Yann Sommer is facing an uncertain future, with reports linking him with an exit from the Allianz Arena after only six months.

Manuel Neuer’s return from injury will impact Sommer’s playing time and he will likely seek a move elsewhere this summer.

Alex Nubel, who spent two years on loan at AS Monaco, is also keen on leaving the German giants, with his agent Stefan Backs recently confirming he is searching for a new club for his client.

Although Neuer is expected to be available for selection, there are question marks over his fitness given his lengthy spell on the sidelines.

Mamardashvili could also be viewed as a long-term successor to the German international, but Bayern are focused on other priorities at the moment.

The Georgian international has grown into one of the most coveted shot-stoppers in Europe following his heroics with Valencia last season.

Although Los Che endured another shambolic campaign, Mamardashvili’s performances didn’t go unnoticed.

Chelsea and Inter Milan have been credited as suitors for the 22-year-old, who was part of the Georgian team that reached the quarter-finals of the ongoing U21 European Championship.

A report from Diaro AS claims that Los Che have not received any concrete proposals for Mamardashvili, whose contract runs until 2027.

Bayern are also scouring the market for a new striker, and Harry Kane remains their dream target.

Despite getting the green light from the Englishman, it won’t be easy to strike a deal with Tottenham Hotspur, who are steadfast in keeping their talismanic striker.
