Bayern Munich are among the teams eyeing up a move for Inter Milan defender Yann Bisseck.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
When Inter signed Bisseck in the summer of 2023, he was anything but a household name.
Bisseck had caught the eye with his performances for Aarhus. But the fact that these came in the Danish league meant that he was not really on the radar of Europe’s biggest leagues.
That doesn’t mean there wasn’t other interest in Bisseck. Reportedly, Manchester City were among the teams monitoring the German.
And that was why Inter did have to pay a fee of €7 million to sign Bisseck at the time. That was fairly high for a player with virtually no experience in a top European league.
But Inter felt that this was a worthy investment in signing Bisseck. And they have been proven very much correct.
Bisseck had to spent a few months getting up to speed and adjusting last season.
But over the second half of last campaign, the German already started to prove his worth. He had a role to play as Inter won the Serie A title.
That prompted some transfer interest in Bisseck last summer.
Reportedly, West Ham United made Inter an offer worth around €25 million. But the Nerazzurri rejected that bid – even if it would’ve been a significant profit.
Inter believed that Bisseck could still grow and make a big contribution this season.
So far, the 23-year-old has done just that. This has included standout performances against Manchester City and Arsenal in the Champions League.
Now, the Gazzetta suggests, Bisseck’s value is no less than €40 million.
And the German’s list of suitors has grown to include Bayern Munich, the biggest club in his home country.
