Alexander-Arnold has grown in stature with Liverpool. Reliable reports have stated that Alexander-Arnold is surely leaving the club at the end of the season for free, and Los Blancos are the best-placed club to sign him when his contract expires in the summer of 2025. Real Madrid needs to sign a new right-back, as Dani Carvajal and Lucas Vazquez are already at the wrong end of their 30s.

Carvajal has remained out with an injury for potentially the full season, and Madrid have suffered in the right-back position. However, they want to improve on that position, and Alexander-Arnold is currently one of the best in that position. Getting him for free will be a bargain for the reigning La Liga champions.
