Bayern Munich acquire Tom Bischof in time for Club World Cup

Kicker reports that FC Bayern Munich have reached an agreement with Hoffenheim for the early procurement of midfielder Tom Bischof. The Bundesliga Champions thus secure Bischof’s services in time for the coming Club World Cup. Hoffenheim shall receive a €300,000 base-transfer-fee as part of the del. Bonuses are also included.
Bayern have already paid Bayer Leverkusen a special fee to acquire defender Jonathan Tah in time for the coming tournament. Bischof, like Tah, was picked up by Bayern on a free transfer. Both players were nevertheless not technically property of the German record champions until June 30th, 2025, when their contracts with their current Bundesliga clubs expired.
The deal that will send Bischof to the German giants early was first revealed by RTL commentator Lothar Matthäus during last night’s Germany-France Nations League fixture. Bischof made his German national team debut as a substitute in last night’s 0-2 loss in Stuttgart. Kicker later confirmed arrangement and the precise amount.
